Hello everybody!
My name is Marcela França, from Belo Horizonte, the capital of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil! I am part of the Museomix community and work as general coordinator of the Circuito Liberdade, a complex of 15 cultural spaces that are located near a historical square, Praça da Liberdade.
One of ours main objectives is the creation of a strong and collaborative network among all its spaces. All of them are housed in historic buildings, symbolizing a beautiful open-air collection.
Our idea is that museomixers work and create from a part of the public collections that is in the Circuito Liberdade and how it represents the history of the city of Belo Horizonte and the state of Minas Gerais. Museomix is an opportunity for integration between the cultural spaces of the Circuito Liberdade, which is why our choices as a localization and collection are always based on the premise of strengthening networking.
Therefore, the marathon is planned to happen in a representative place for all other spaces, the building Rainha da Sucata, and the collection available will connect each one of them.
For us, it is fundamental to think about how all spaces will feel part of the process and the marathon. We are very excited to make Museomix happen, and we know that our proposal is ambitious and full of challenges. Museomix never happened in Brazil, and we don’t have anyone from the Museomix Minas Gerais community who has already participated before.
In addition, we have been working hard to translate and learn a methodology that is all in French. We are bravely moving forward! 
We made the first Apéromix in December 2016 and 120 people were present! Since then the community has been forming (currently we are 47 people) and meeting, focused on the areas of communication, programming, production and logistics, mediation and content. We have also made strategic partnerships and received the support and interest of many people.

The only advices you could need now : be careful with the daylife points (feed the stakeholders, be aware about accomodation for all, get a good Internet network)… and be self-confident ! It WILL be a success !
