Je sais pas si je peut parler en anglais ici? Pour moi c’est tres facile ecrire plus vite et en respectant de les erreur, je trouve plus facile la communication. Mais je sais pas si je peut etre lu et compris.
Anyway, I’ll try that: Integration Youtube, introduced by Nina is really used in the recent videos “communities” or as a communication style for the Generation “V” (laissez moi l’appeler comme ca la generation video). It is really used a lot in video games reviews journals and sites that want to provoke and spread opinion and generate buzz.
Video games news (IGN for example and many more, big or small companies use it but also newspaper).
The only thing is that the sensation is: after you watch a video you should feel complete or at least more complete then before, but you have less time because you just spent it so you are also “less complete”. Proposing to watch more videos, sometimes, (in my view, my behavior is, I never - 98%- click on more videos because otherwise I am just gonna watch videos that day!) You feel ** overwhelmed,** bombarded … don’t you?
I suggest “creating a story” a diary, that can be “reopened” next time you come back.
This “surfing rythm” has been introduced by MOZILLA for example that with firefox (and from youtube itself years before with “watch later” option) allowing you to create an account and collecting them in “GET POCKET” queue that will allow you to read, watch web sites later …
Anyway what Nina suggest is not bad at all. But finding it at the end of the video is like bombarding the viewer.
I feel that something better would be WORKING on the persuasive form of how this is suggested.
— Graphic (Flash for example) would come to help of course … if these videos depending on what “main titles” (creative, innovation and so on) we click, will give an input and related videos will “bubble” up from the bottom of the screen and stop on the top (like a roof that we create). -??-
The user\surfer will have the sansation of creating like this a diary, a house, a building with its own decisions, clicks and ideas and opinion. A quick creative way to informing yourself and building a better idea of what (in this case) museomix is.
to @celia_cbo : I rewatched the videos “maquettes” again and again now after some weeks. I think that always in the idea of “building knowledge”, step by step, knowing each other little by little (in this logic exactly), and in the concept of creating a “Diary experience” of the maquette, this famous system would be really of help.
In fact we need a TRACE, we need stories, we need to know what people do and clicked and did and their opinion is important. If we can make interact the videos with interactive WORD cloud(s) We can make the experinece not just singularly but RELATIVELY better for everybody the more the people interact the more their opinion to museomix will become enriched and diverse and will keep changing of course depending on clicks, interest, views etc.
So My proposition is to make these videos interact with word clouds .
I want to leave with a question. I am not an expert of communication. At all. But I can tell that there are at least two great ways of communicate\ two kind of languages on is what has become the “western way” of communication and is “influencing the whole world today” this is the VIDEO way, our words have no sound anymore. They have lost anything that was once a language.
There is another way which is the “asian” way of communicating. Asian language (word) change and have impact and communicate through the sound, the tone, the intonation.
What about this “way” of thinking to be put into this reflection in regard to the question “How we do communicate?”.
Museomix just does this in French? Isn’t this message for the whole world? Our communities are more and more integrated. Not the whole world speaks french and not the whole world speaks the “Western way” VIDEO style of language. Westerner speak with PHOTOS, (hashtag is a proof of this) we give a very strange (to me it is strange and not so good) meaning of time: a capitalist vision of time. And we are in post capitalistic era now.
Asian instead communicate with “music” with tones, with SONGS when they communicate indeed (it’s actually a way our languages have lost). They give a different meaning to time.
Don’t you think we should keep this in mind? How do we want to communicate?
This is not a too deep reflection and not too superficial, I think it is important. So I think we should add colors or the opportunity to use colours for the users when they click, and use sounds and use tones.
Personalization of the experience is definitely the way (you are pursuing) and the way that can maybe mix the (at least 2 of the many) ways of commincating (language). But this personalization must be done in an informed but also conscious way from who creates this “Valorisation” the les videos.
Isn’t museomix interested in creating_ ab initio_ everything in an “international” (connexted) way? Or at least in english?
Ciao.
