Repenser un wiki?

Bonjour à tous, Dear all (english below),

During Museomix Summer Camp, we're going to share a lot about commun topics to Museomix. It could be interesting to keep something from these talks, perhaps as a wiki?

The website museomix.org is more like a communication tool whose contents allow people to contact the communities.

We could use a more organic tool that would help us to keep notes of what we're experimenting, instead of Google docs to be reorganized over and over.

@tart2000 @samuelbausson @ClaireJ had begun to work on Hackpad (bought by Dropbox) : https://museomix.hackpad.com/ To my point of view, this tool seems too far away from wiki language

In 2013 in St Etienne, the event had been depicted by a journalist who was there and watching: http://movilab.org/index.php?title=Museomix_Saint_Etienne

**Do you know other existing wikis ?**

I'd like to propose a commun wikitexte-like architecture that would be linked to the website.

For instance, we would create a page dedicated to one-day events and every community could share its tips.

Thanks!

+++

Thanks to @samy we tested a wiki during Museomix Summer Camp 2017 in Lyon :

cc @Marilyne

Now we have also an intercommunity wiki :
http://wiki.museomix.org/wakka.php?wiki=PagePrincipale

@Sam.Donvil @gurbain and volunteers to work on the Museomix Wikipedia page > I started a Press Release page where anyone can add external link and use it as external sources for Wikipedia http://wiki.museomix.org/wakka.php?wiki=PresS

@Ros @jean_pierre_girard @Jean-Marc @Margot the Intercommunity page is waiting for your summary of Summer Camp and it seems that you already found it  http://wiki.museomix.org/wakka.php?wiki=IntercommunityCom

I have also started some pages about differents formats in domains and times http://wiki.museomix.org/wakka.php?wiki=DifferentFormats feel free to copy / paste any feedback you shared before on Community

[UPDATE]
During the intercommunity meeting in Lille, we have added a new sub-item in the External Communication menu:

You can use Youtube Translation or upload .srt files to use a video in your own language.

Please feel free to add videos you like to use to present Museomix!
Wiki is open to everyone willing to evolve, you just need to create an account to edit pages.

As reminder, another ressource page could be used:

Enjoy the wiki!

Hello !
@celia_cbo : when you say about the old hackpad that “To my point of view, this tool seems too far away from wiki language” : I understand that you are talking about the hackpad as a tool. Today, Hackpad does not exist anymore, and we decided together to use the Wiki to archive Museomix. But maybe you were also talking about the contents… do you think the contents of the old hackpad should not be kept in the wiki ?

I’m trying to find the archives of the hackpad because I remember that there were common tools and documentation about museomix on it, and I think it could be great to transfer it (or a part of it) on the wiki.

What do you think of it, all of you ?

Thank you,
Margot

I was mentionning the tool (hackpad).
Regarding the contents, they are welcome on the wiki - I can’t remember that a lot of informations stand on the hackpad though. Wiki needs neutral writing to my point of view: either informations agreed by all of us, either explanations of community “fork” (like others formats, other domains, other publics…)

Hello,

I can’t access the wiki of Museomix Summer Camp anymore : http://wiki-summercamp-2017.museomix.org/wakka.php?wiki=PagePrincipale.
It shows an error page.

Is it still useful to keep the content of the museomix summer camp on this other wiki? Would not it be better to integrate it into the intercommunity wiki ?

Damien

hello ! joyeux premier mai ! :four_leaf_clover::ear_of_rice::seedling:

I think Museomix at musée d’Orsay, will be next year… Meanwhile, it could be fine, beside this annual session Museomix 2018, to use this opportunity to store tools and resources, updated, at the right places to find them easily : what do you think about that ? @celia_cbo @Marilyne @NinaDebail @Ros and … I can’t call every one, could you ask the good person if you read that and don’ t feel concerned ?
First of all, we have to urgently update the Chart of Museums, which is on the website, and talks about 2014… see if some points are not to change (what about the alinea telling that a museum worker must be in each museomixers team ?)
I didn’t find any application form for museums : Is it to create or is it somewhere ? on the drive ? couldn’t be good to put links to the drive from the wiki ?
waiting for your answers and encouragements ;)…!
So soon !

Hello @CathBarra !

Great idea, thank you to stay motivated
i don’t have much time right now but i’m available to help and find the right and valuable informations!

About the museum application, from my point of view we have to come back from the 2015 system that is: each application file is read by another community which checks that everything is ok! see the folder here with the reading grid
The application file itself has to be defined: what do we ask to museums?

  • budget
  • spaces
  • team
  • playgrounds
  • partners
  • local community
    *… to be completed

It’s very important for new communities to know more about this first step.
Thank you again, see you very soon

Hey !

I completely agree with @celia_cbo. Good to keep it simple and make a crossed review of the application doc of the museums and communities participating

coucou,
